Under the patronage of the President of Ibn Sina University of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor Dr. Abbas Naji Al-Sharifi, the University Follow-up Department, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Department, held a workshop on Sunday, may 5th, 2024, entitled (Electronic Blackmail). The workshop included a lecture delivered by Mr. Issam Kamel / Iraqi National Security Service, about electronic blackmail. The workshop aims to address and avoid exposure to electronic blackmail under the slogan (prevention is better than cure). Prevention of blackmail is better than its harm, and one of the things that has increased in blackmail is weak technical security awareness. The lecturer explained methods of prevention by installing programs to monitor the home Internet, using strange and complex passwords and codes, and not opening any sent links.
