The Council of the Faculty of Dentistry at Ibn Sina University of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences held its fourth session on Thursday, 4/1/2024, in the presence of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abbas Naji Al-Sharifi, and the chairman of the Council, Prof. Dunia Wadih Sabaa, and all the members of the Council. During the meeting, the President of the University stressed the need to raise the scientific level of students and pay attention to the educational and scientific process, as well as provide all the needs of the educational medical clinics of the college and its scientific laboratories, and provide all necessary supplies for the work of the examination committee before the start of the examination dates. Further, During the session, His Excellency gave the Council members several directives, including the importance of dealing wisely and sympathetically with students, taking into account their circumstances, and responding to their requirements and needs. He expresses his high confidence in the sense of responsibility of the teaching staff towards the students and overcoming the obstacles and problems in front of them. Additionally, His Excellency stressed the need for the Deanship of the College and the scientific branches to play an influential role in providing and delivering the necessary materials and equipment for the work of laboratories and educational clinics. Finally, His Excellency urged the teaching staff to publish research in reputable international databases (Scopus) to raise the name of Ibn Sina University of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences high among other universities. He also emphasized the need to follow up on the scientific promotions of the teaching staff to raise the scientific and academic level of the Faculty of Dentistry. The President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abbas Al-Sharifi, praised the efforts of the Deanship of the Faculty and teaching staff in the success of the educational process and briefed on several requests of our dear students.
